Water Conservation

In order to protect our precious resources, the district participates in a wide variety of water conservation efforts and each of its school sites, outdoor facilities, and District Office. The efforts include, but aren't limited to:

• To increase water efficiency, Smart Controllers were installed on every field TTUSD owns and maintains which takes into consideration weather patterns and soil moisture conditions. These help reduce watering needs based on current conditions.
   
• TTUSD utilizes aeration and fertilizing to minimize water needs.
   

• TTUSD achieved a 20% water reduction during the California drought and continues to maintain this usage reduction, despite the lifting of the mandate.
   

• Over the past several years, TTUSD has replaced our bathroom fixtures with low flow units that help reduce overall water consumption.
