Our Principal and Assistant Principal

Rachael Kuttel, Principal

I am honored to be serving as the principal of Glenshire Elementary School. Glenshire Elementary is an excellent community school that works together with all stakeholders to provide an education for the whole child. I am a Truckee native and TTUSD alumni myself and am excited to be working in the community that I know and love.

I have worked within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District for 18 years with a diverse background ranging from general education to special education at all grade levels. I began my teaching career at Tahoe Lake Elementary School, then taught at both North Tahoe School and North Tahoe High School, and most recently at Truckee High School before coming to Glenshire Elementary School. I hold a dual bachelor’s degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, a master of science degree in Educational Administration from National University, as well as a clear teaching credential and an administrative credential. This will be my 6th year at Glenshire Elementary School

I believe in TTUSD and that students are the focus of all decisions. I am passionate about our community and all we have to offer in Glenshire as well as our mountain town. I know that this school offers quality education in a safe, caring environment for any type of scholar. Glenshire Elementary teachers and staff are professionals who ensure the highest level of learning for all Glenshire students.
